Ingrid Domingues

I’ve worked in the IT industry since 1982. First and foremost I help procurers define requirements for IT, analyze user needs, and make sure that the UX quality in the end products are satisfactory. In the UX community I work with improving methods for usability and project management. I've been a fundamental part in developing Business Impact Management (prev. known as Effect Management) into what it is today.
My primary interest lies in finding and implementing practical ways of working that increase the value of IT. I have good knowledge of the different strengths and weaknesses of different methods available, and I have defined an add-on to RUP as well as PROPS in order to ensure usage quality and expected benefits to the receiving organization.
I’m often engaged as lecturer in open as well as corporate internal courses, as well as mentor. I regularly give lectures in conferences as well as universities and colleges. Together with Johan Berndtsson, I’ve written the book ”Användbarhet i praktiken” (Studentlitteratur 2002), and with Mijo Balic the book ”Effect management of IT” (Liber 2006).
Apart from my experience as a consultant within usability and effect management, I also have experience of working as a CEO as well as manager.
