Agile + Gamification - more fun == more done! (how to smoothly introduce agile)
IT is surprisingly interesting but not all the time... Routine boring tasks (which need to be done), scary deadlines, demanding customer who is changing his mind like a herky-jerky and other joy killing stuff may discourage even most passionate person.
But there is a solution! Let's tweak your team by implementing agile (kanban, scrum, lean - your team chooses what's the best for them) and gamification (game mechanics in a non-game areas - to turn their tedious everyday into amazing adventures journey filled with challenges and quests).
Sounds thrilling but you're afraid your developers will be against this change? The way to do it wisely and smoothly is to use altergames - dedicated simulation game they can use to try all the crazy ideas (which may drastically change the world for better) in safe environment. During the game they will learn all the advantages and disadvantages of their current process and agile+gamification approach. After the game they will be able to choose advisedly the solution which will help them in having a lot of fun at work and create amazing projects much faster.
