CoffeeScript: the path to enlightenment
CoffeeScript is a language by Jeremy Ashkenas that transcompiles to JavaScript. There is lots of syntactical sugar which allows for writing beautiful, expressive and terse code!
So CoffeeScript is better looking than JavaScript on the outside and the same on the inside.
This talk will show off CoffeeScript and discuss why you still need to learn javascript.

The future of Javascript
A discussion with Bodil Stokke, Rawld Gill, Nathaniel Schutta and Björn Ramberg moderated by James Kyburz.
Javascript is a hugely important technology today, with ubiquity on
the web. Not only that, but it's making inroads in other essential
areas such as the server, the mobile and the desktop. These days
javascript has challengers as the language of the web. Will Dart make
it? How can we, as developers, best surf the javascript
wave? Where are we heading?
This discussion will draw on the experiences of our expert panelists
to explore the frontiers of javascript and make some predictions about
the technology areas javascript programmers are going to want to dig
into.
