Cross-Platform Development with Titanium
Appcelerator Titanium is the biggest 3:rd party vendor of cross-platform solutions today. It has 1.6 million registered developers and over 30 000 published live apps in Android Market and App Store.
The Titanium platform uses an Eclipse based IDE to develop in JavaScript. You can target both Android, iOS and Blackberry for NATIVE mobile apps. But also write desktop apps for Windows, Mac and Linux as well as Web apps in HTML5. There is also a marketplace for developers to sell their modules or buy ready made modules to use in their projects.
The talk will introduce the platform and show some real world examples of both live apps from big companies as well as code examples and walkthrough of a typical Android and iPhone app.
